  • Colleen Egli bridges the space between what leaders know and what they actually do. A PhD candidate in Organizational Leadership at Adler University, she researches the knowing–doing gap—why capable leaders hesitate to act on what they already understand works. Her earlier graduate research explored how career-development conversations influence engagement, a thread that continues through her current work on cognitive dissonance and leadership decision-making.

Colleen’s background spans more than a decade in leadership and organizational development roles, including Director of Organizational Development & EDI at Capilano University and Associate Director of BCom Careers & Work Integrated Learning at UBC Sauder School of Business. Through her consultancy, Theory In Use, she helps organizations translate insight into action, designing leadership and change strategies that connect evidence-based research with practical impact.

She holds an MA in Organizational Psychology, BA in Psychology, Certificate in Program Management, Associate Certificate in Leadership & Conflict Resolution, and is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner. Colleen’s work blends reflection and rigour, helping leaders build awareness, alignment, and accountability—the essential bridge between knowing and doing.
